Quilting is for everyone

Okay, so this is my first post and you have to take it for what it is. I believe that everyone is an artist in their own right. Some people just don't realize their talent and others need to be guided in the right direction. So I guess I consider myself a guider, in a way.

I also believe that everyone should quilt. There are so many different types of quilting that everyone has unlimited possibilities.I really enjoy teaching classes and since I have taken such a wide array of classes, I try to show people that there are so many directions that can be followed. For example, traditional quilts versus art quilts. Paper piecing versus mosaics. Ink versus color pencils. The list is endless.

Some people say, "I have no talent", or "I could never do that". Well, we all have doubts but anything is possible. I have a magnet on my refrigerator that says, " If you are going to doubt something, doubt your limits". I don't know who said it but it's pretty profound.

I have been doing all kinds of things lately that I would like to share with you. I have been making fabric beads and found this to be awesome. I also finished my black and white mosaic of a mother and daughter, and I must say it turned out pretty well. I promise to post pictures in my next post!
